Econ is one of the most popular majors on campus.

Not surprising to me how many Bush supporters we got here.

What does econ have to do with anything?

For whatever reason, my entire floor is basically econ majors, and most of those guys are not worrying about nice social-justice-y things like how gender-based income discrepancies impact a country’s GDP. They have their eye on Wall Street jobs, ideally at wherever their dad works.

I think Trinity is in this weird position where it’s reckoning with trying to be a modern liberal-arts college vs its history of being every St Grottlesex kid’s safety school, so you have this veneer of progressive respectability that masks a deep-seated and increasingly disjunctive conservative streak.

I don’t know a lot of frat kids who are serious about politics to the point that they even identify as conservative. It’s more about obliviousness or their own personal prejudices than anything else.

They’ll sneer at anything that smacks of left-wing sensitivities, and affect whatever conservative attitudes they learned at home, but most of them won’t even show up to vote.

I dunno, man, I think just about enough of them showed up to vote.

Did anyone even hear from the college democrats? because I know I was looking for flyers and stuff right around election day and I barely saw anything
